'Good Morning America' co-anchor Lara Spencer discusses her upcoming hip replacement surgery on-air for the first time.

Peter J. Moley, MD, explains how her hip is almost bone on bone and how they came to the decision that a hip replacement is the best course of action for her.

"Approximately 10 percent of all hip replacements are done on patients under 50 years old," said Dr. Moley. Lara is 47.
