Tech Insider reports carpal tunnel is a syndrome that is best treated by a doctor instead of self-treating with online solutions.

Aaron Daluiski, MD, a hand and upper extremity surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery, shared the three things that do help improve symptoms including a night splint.

"It's the easiest option that we normally start with for patients," said Dr. Daluiski. A splint can keep the wrist in a neutral position so you put less pressure on the nerve while you sleep.
