What You're Doing to Help your Carpal Tunnel Could be Making it Worse

Tech Insider reporter Rebecca Harrington investigates common exercises to relieve carpal tunnel syndrome that could actually make symptoms worse.

Aaron Daluiski, MD, a hand and upper extremity surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery, told Rebecca that he has had many patients come in who have tried treating their own carpal tunnel symptoms unsuccessfully.

"If you just Google 'carpal tunnel syndrome treatment options,' there's a ton of stuff out there that has not been vetted," Dr. Daluiski said. "I think in general, they just don't work, and there's no medical or scientific basis for them."
