HOOS, JR. and KOOS, JR. Outcomes Surveys

The HOOS, JR. and KOOS, JR. are joint-replacement-relevant short forms of the HOOS (Hip dysfunction and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score) and KOOS (Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score) surveys developed at Hospital for Special Surgery. These forms take relatively little time to implement, and they help clinicians guide patients through their decision process and determine when a surgical intervention may be right. These instruments are nonproprietary and free to use. Do not alter the surveys without written permission from their developer, Stephen Lyman, PhD. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Lyman.
