Ball Retriever

Ball Retriever

Overview

Assistive devices promote proper body mechanics during play and can be used in conjunction with standard golf clubs. It is important to note that many products are available, and the following is a general sample of assistive golfing aides.

Ball Retrieval

Golfers who experience difficulty with bending at the hip or knees when retrieving a ball can use an individual assistive aide or one that attaches to the golfer's golf club. Ball retrieval systems are used to limit excessive bending as a golfer goes through a round (see photo).

Tee Placement/Removal

To assist with inserting or removing tees during play, a tee aide will also reduce bending at the spine, hips and knees.

Club Grip

To assist golfers with hand weakness or arthritic conditions when gripping their clubs, a special golfer's glove can assist with grip consistency, proper position, and reducing impact during follow through. (See photos below for how to use an Assistive Glove)
