Femur lengthening and deformity correction after growth arrest
Pre-Op

Michaela fractured her femur and she developed a growth arrest leading to 1.25 inches of leg length discrepancy and knock-knee (valgus) deformity.



Post-Op
She underwent a lengthening and deformity correction of her right femur using a monolateral external fixator. Legs were symmetrical after about 6 weeks.



Follow-Up
Michaela has straight symmetrical legs. Bone is fully healed and 100% strong allowing her to play competitive high school varsity soccer.
