Current PostBac Researchers

Jackson Appelt headshot
Jackson Appelt is a graduate of the University of Virginia. His research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying joint Tenosynovial Giant Cell tumors in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Donlin.

Erin Berube headshot
Erin Berube graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. She works with Dr. Carl Imhauser in the Biomechanics Department, were she studies knee joint stability. Her current research focuses on understanding how knee laxity, bony morphology, and quantitative MRI measurements relate to risk of ACL injury and ACL graft healing. She has also studied the effects of surgical decision making on knee laxity in total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

Jha headshot
Swaneet Jha is a graduate of Stony Brook University. He works with Dr. Carl Imhauser in the Biomechanics Department, focusing on developing and validating a TKA-specific patient-reported outcome measure (PROM) to improve patient satisfaction following Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA). He is also involved in a study using a novel knee tester to understand the correlation between objective knee laxity and patient perceptions of instability. Swaneet collaborates closely with Dr. Brian Chalmers, who leads the clinical component of this research.

Huang headshot
Mary Huang graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is studying "Inflammation-mediated signal transduction crosstalk between cytokines in monocytes" in the laboratory of Dr. Lionel Ivashkiv.

Aahna Rathod headshot
Aahna Rathod is a graduate of The College of New Jersey. Her research is focused on immune system responses in systemic lupus and the role of the vascular-stromal environment in skin photosensitivity to UV rays in the laboratory of Dr. Theresa Lu.

Melissa (Missy) Romoff headshot
Melissa (Missy) Romoff is a graduate of Northwestern University. Her research focuses on "Investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying joint Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumors" in the laboratory of Dr. Laura Donlin.

Ketsia Seide headshot
Ketsia Seide is a graduate of Hunter College, City University of New York. She is studying “Transcriptional and epigenomic processes that control inflammatory gene expression in macrophages and in vivo” in the laboratory of Dr. Inez Rogatsky.
