I had a leg injury in 2023, and had 2 major surgeries elsewhere with hardware that didn't allow me to walk for 3 months. I had to learn how to walk again and was recommended intense physical therapy after surgery. I still wasn't quite recovering as I should. I couldn't walk, stand, or sit for a long period at a time. I was told one year after major surgery that I was not healing as I should and I needed knee replacement surgery. Feeling lost, I went for a second opinion at HSS with Dr. Jose Rodriguez. At my consultation, he made me feel like I had a chance to get my life back. Eight months later, fluttered with emotions, I am right where I need to be! I can run in the park with my daughter again. I can walk and climb stairs without pain! I could not have done this journey without the help of Dr. Rodriguez and the excellent team at HSS - from Dr. Rodriguez's office staff to the surgical coordinators to hospitality!
