I was suffering from osteoarthritis exacerbated by some life-saving medication I had to take. This led to bone-on-bone arthritis in each of my knees. My provider, Dr. Gausden, agreed to do my surgery, but I needed to lose some weight. She referred me to the Lifestyle Medicine Program. I’m so glad she did.

The professionals at the Lifestyle Medicine Program provided me with information, education and tools to help my weight loss effort succeed so that the surgeries could proceed. The information wasn’t new, but it was presented in a way that made sense for me to incorporate this program into my life. It is something that I will follow for the rest of my life.

My thanks to all of the providers and professionals associated with lifestyle medicine for their care and compassion. I urge anyone looking to make lifestyle changes that makes sense to consider this program.
