I went to HSS for replacement of both my knees. Prior to the replacements, I was in tremendous pain. I could not walk, stand, and sit. To relieve my pain, I had no choice but keep lying down. As one can imagine, it was horrible life for 4 to 5 years.

Finally. I got myself checked and was told that I had very severe form of arthritis in both knees and was advised knee replacements. Dr. Elizabeth B. Gausden at HSS was my surgeon. She was outstanding and a big source of comfort. I was in rehab for a month after each surgery. The rehab was slightly aggressive but I started walking again like any other person. It is such a pleasure to have outings with my friends and family.

I shower all my blessings on Dr. Gausden and pray that she gives the same relief to all her patients.
