I had arthritis in both of my knees. I had one replaced in the city where I reside and it was a very painful procedure and recovery. Mostly because I was not cared for post-op. I went to Dr. Ranawat to see how to stop the pain. He removed scar tissue from the nerve and it stopped.

When I found Dr. Ranawat, my life turned around and my pain ended. Ended. I have no pain in either knee, now after many years of suffering and being restricted from most any activity, I am able to do all that I once did and more.

My second knee replacement was in Fall 2022 at HSS under the care of Dr. Ranawat. I am grateful for the personal attention that I received from the minute I walked in the door. Every possible question was asked of me to help address my health issues, and I was kept informed for months before surgery which lessened my fear. Day of surgery, I met the most thoughtful, kind anesthesiologist who alleviated any remaining fears. I awoke with mild pain and remained that way all through the weeks after. I rarely used pain medicine. Easy recovery, painless knee, grateful for these amazing doctors and the hospital that accepted me as a patient.
