Dr. Steve Behrens and PA Meaghan Murtagh (HSS at NYP) are rock stars in my book. Both are very caring, kind and professional as well as excellent at their craft. I have suffered bunion pain in both feet since my late teens. I was scared to have the surgery and put it off for years. Now in my 40s I couldn't take it anymore and went in for a consultation and decided on surgery. Dr. Behrens and Meghan did my left foot early 2022 and it was the best thing ever. I had a few small incisions on the side of my foot and 3 screws implanted. My foot now feels great, it healed well and when the expected after surgery pain ended I have been pain-free. I'm now ready to do the right foot. Don't sit around in pain like I did. Last summer, I finally danced pain-free and I plan to do so again this summer!
