My name is Ahuva Hirschey and I was diagnosed with scoliosis at the end of seventh grade. My curve was in the low 30s and I wore a back brace for about a year and a half. Unfortunately, my curve got much worse and Dr. Widmann recommended scoliosis surgery for me. My surgery was at the end of August in 2019, and at that time my curve was in the high 50s. Dr. Widmann performed an amazing surgery and made my back look perfect. I feel great and I am able to participate in all the sports that I love. I am so thankful to Dr. Widmann for being able to give me this better quality of life and I appreciate all that HSS has done for me.
