I have been to several hospitals in my life but I never had such a positive experience as I had twice with HSS and Dr. McLawhorn. All of the staff were extremely caring and competent. All of my needs and special circumstances were addressed even before I had time to ask. I was shocked by how fast I recovered from my surgeries and I would never go anywhere else, even if I had to travel thousands of miles. My recovery is complete in only months and I'm walking better than I have in years. I've returned to long hikes in the woods and mountains, keeping up with my very active 4-year-old granddaughter (better than her mother can), and doing several hands on renovation/construction projects among any other activities that I would ever need or like to do. Having my knee replacement surgery at HSS was the best surgical and hospital decision that I have made in my life.
