The condition for which I was treated was temporal arteritis. In fact, I participated in a clinical trial over a period of two years. During that time, I had regular visits/check-ups at the hospital. I continued to be impressed by Dr. Spiera's professionalism, expertise and experience with temporal arteritis. At the same time, he was engaging, personable and a very good listener. I certainly did not choose to have this affliction. Given that I did have it, I was fortunate to be under the care of an expert and leader in the field who genuinely cared for the well-being of his patients.

I was also under the care of Dr. Lindsay Lally. Like Dr. Spiera, Dr. Lally was professional, knowledgeable and personable. I looked forward to my appointments with both doctors.
