Luckily I survived a full-on head on collision while traveling in New Zealand. Both my tibial plateau were demolished, along with my right femur- completely fractured the entire length. The doctor in New Zealand managed to salvage my legs but only with the right leg being very crooked. The entire length of my leg had a scar, which Doctor Wellman opened up and removed all of my hardware before Dr. Sculco performed a complicated knee replacement as the tibial plateau had not completely healed after a year-and-a-half. Both doctors were simply amazing and Dr. Sculco managed to straighten my leg completely. Both surgeons are so dedicated and personable as well. Now I'm coming back to get my shoulder replaced!!
