On August 29, 2016, I had a left knee replacement at Hospital for Special Surgery. It truly is the best hospital for joint replacement in the world! The doctors and staff were so kind and caring. They took such fantastic care of me. I am almost 86 years old and I have a wonderful and very active life. My loving family and friends keep me very busy and on the go. My awful knee pain was really starting to interfere with my quality of life. My doctor, the wonderful Dr. Linda Russell sent me to see the wonderful Dr Mark Figgie. Having 100% trust in these two doctors, I decided to go ahead with my knee replacement. It is one of the best decisions I've ever made as I am doing so well!

For the first time in many many years I am out of chronic pain and I am able to bend my knee again! I am working very hard at my physical therapy. I have a wonderful in-home therapist name Cheryl and wonderful in-home nurse named Colleen. I am now in outpatient therapy with a wonderful therapist named Jenny. I am almost a month Post-Op and I'm already out to dinner at my favorite restaurants. I'm looking forward to our big family picnic in a few weeks. After that I'm really able to get, "back in my game," by doing one of my favorite things. I've already planned my weekend trip to Atlantic City so I can have a great time walking around pain-free playing the slot machines!! Thank you Dr, Figgie, thank you Dr, Russell, thank you Cheryl, Coleen, Jenny and my loving family for giving me back my life!! I'm truly, "Back in the Game!"
