The arthritis in my knee had progressed to the point where I could barely walk and was waking up several times a night from pain. I tried physical therapy, shots, and meniscus surgery without any success. Dr. Mayman performed knee replacement surgery on October 2, 2015. Twelve weeks later, I flew to Ireland to attend a family wedding. I spent the next two weeks walking and hiking through Ireland and Scotland, and even climbed to the top of Edinburgh Castle! I have no doubt that the expertise and skill of Dr. Mayman and the care I received at HSS made this trip possible. My limitations have finally been lifted, and I'm looking forward to long walks along the beach this summer. Thank you Dr. Mayman and HSS!
