I am very active (walking, kayaking, bicycling), but I had a hereditary left foot bunion/hammertoe that became so severely deformed that I was in danger of a future disability. At three months post-surgery I am walking normally and at full speed. Dr. Roberts basically rebuilt my foot, so that I am now totally functional and pain-free. My experience at HSS has been A+ from Day 1. Every interaction with staff at all levels has been professional and kind (a rare combination). My recovery has been much faster than anticipated, and I am sure this is a direct result of the skill and experience that Dr. Roberts provides. My local physical therapist kept telling me how impressed he was with my new foot!
