Arthur Mintz

In 1994 I damaged my left knee while on a scuba diving expedition in the Galapagos Islands. Upon my return to the USA I had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus. The knee held up for over twenty years, but in late 2014, due to increasing pain and limited mobility, I consulted with Dr. Amar Ranawat at HSS. My full knee replacement procedure was on February 11, 2015. I was walking the next day with the aid of a cane and in a couple of weeks my life was back to normal. The staff at HSS is totally professional in every aspect of patient care and communication. Whenever someone tells me about their knee, hip or other orthopedic problem, I tell them to get over to HSS!

This past December I returned to active scuba diving and life without pain! I am so grateful at seventy years old to be back enjoying my favorite vacation pastime!
