At the end of the skiing season on March 30, On the last run of the day I went through the terrain park with my friend. I came up to the 3rd jump on the run a 20 foot kick I had been doing 360's off of the whole day. I launched off the jump and everything was prefect till I landed. I over rotated my 360 landing crooked, to help stabilize myself and to bring myself from diagonal to straight I over extended to my left leg to do this. Because of the temperature and soft slushy snow this causes me to catch an edge instantly and sent me flying down the remainder of the landing. I slammed on my left shoulder causing my collar bone to break instantly into 4 places. I luckily was able to get myself up and ski the remainder of the run down to the first aid building at the bottom of the mountain. There they were able to set the bones back into place till I got back home. I got back the April 1st, met with Dr. Samuel Taylor on the 2nd, then was in surgery on the 4th. I had a titanium plate installed with 7 screws running through my bone to keep everything in place. After the surgery I was in recovery for 2 month, after 3 months I was out of the sling, and finally at 6 months I am as good as new and ready for another ski season . Dr. Taylor did an amazing job and I can't thank him enough for fixing me up with no repercussions or lasting effects of the surgery. I'd definitely recommend him to anybody suffering from a sports injury. Two Thumbs up.
