I came to HSS for foot surgery and it was the best decision I could have made. Dr. Demetracopoulos was wonderful. He reviewed all my options, explained the process and recovery. He wanted to be sure I was clear on what was involved in having a successful outcome. He always takes time with me and I never felt rushed. He had helpful suggestions about getting around during recovery. His office manager was great at handling all the details involved in scheduling my surgery and all follow up appointments. She is so sweet and friendly and always says hello and asks how I am when she sees me in waiting room. The surgery went well and Dr. D has been there through every step of the recovery. Everyone at the hospital was great from the staff before the operation to the people in recovery. Even the staff in the lobby are helpful and is the greeter directing traffic at the entrance. It's a very well run and organized place. I had the same surgery on the other foot a few years ago. That time I selected a hospital because it was convenient to get to which was a big mistake. I had a bad experience and an awful outcome. I was able to walk on the beach with my daughter this summer thanks to Dr. D. I am Back in the Game.
