A few years ago I started seeing Dr James. Wyss for constant sciatic pain. He did several epidurals and I did some PT. I was very nervous about the epidurals but Dr. Wyss is a master, there was little to no discomfort. Unfortunately, the pain remained. Dr Wyss recommended I see Dr. Matthew Cunningham. Dr. Cunningham explained why a fusion was what I needed and we scheduled the surgery.

I asked Dr. Cunningham when I could plan a big trip and he recommended one year post op. I had the surgery on Feb 25, 2013 During my recovery I researched and planned a trip to Costa Rica for 3 couples. We took our trip March 10,2014 and it was spectacular! Both my daughter and I have had surgery at HSS and have been so impressed with the quality of care. We feel very fortunate to have access to this wonderful hospital.
