If you are concerned that you may not be able to pay for your care, we may be able to help.
The HSS ASC of Manhattan provides financial aid for medically necessary services based on a patient’s financial need and includes a sliding scale discount for patients who qualify. Aid may be available for patients who do not have insurance and for those who are underinsured. We may be able to work with you to arrange a manageable payment plan.
Our financial assistance policy applies to services provided by the HSS ASC of Manhattan, and some services provided by certain HSS ASC physicians and other clinical staff of the HSS ASC of Manhattan.
The HSS ASC of Manhattan uses poverty guidelines issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to determine a patient's eligibility for financial assistance. The amount of the discount varies based on your income and the size of your family. The income limits, based on seven times the 2018 Federal Poverty Guidelines (the “FPL”), are below:
Current Income Eligibility Limits
|Family size||Annual Family Income|
|1||Up to $84,980|
|2||Up to $115,220|
|3||Up to $145,460|
|4||Up to $175,700|
|5||Up to $205,940|
|6||Up to $236,180|
