Patient Case History: Max

Humerus Nonunion: Plate Fixation

Pre-Op

Patient Surgeon: S. Robert Rozbruch
Max fell and fractured his humerus (upper arm). After a few months of bracing, no bony healing had occurred. His arm was floppy and deformed, he was in pain, and he could not continue his job at Ellis Island.

He was referred to us for surgical treatment of his humerus nonunion. We repaired this using a locking compression plate (Synthes, Paoli,PA) and Grafton bone graft substitute material.
