About Dr. Henry

Dr. Jensen Henry is an Assistant Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at HSS and an Assistant Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College. She specializes in foot and ankle surgery with a passion for patient-centered, comprehensive and longitudinal care for all orthopedic foot and ankle issues.

In addition to athletic and traumatic foot and ankle injuries, Dr. Henry specializes in degenerative foot and ankle conditions, including ankle arthritis and hindfoot deformity. She performs multiple types of surgeries, including ankle replacement (arthroplasty), revision ankle replacement, and correction of foot deformity (malalignment), along with repair of acute injuries like ankle fractures and Achilles tendon ruptures.

A Nebraska native, Dr. Henry completed her undergraduate studies in zoology and neuroscience at Miami University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She was also a member of the Division I Varsity women's swimming team. She attended New York University (NYU) School of Medicine, where she spent an additional year performing orthopedic research, and graduated with the excellence in musculoskeletal medicine award. She was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Henry then completed both orthopedic residency training and foot & ankle fellowship at HSS.

Dr. Henry centers her care and expertise around treating her patients, and strives to improve patient outcomes and function through research. Her research focus is dedicated to ankle arthritis, ankle replacement (arthroplasty), flatfoot, and biomechanics. She has been awarded research grants from the Orthopaedic Research & Education Fund (OREF) and Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS)/Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society (RJOS). She has authored numerous peer reviewed research papers and book chapters, and has presented her research at national and international meetings. Dr. Henry is a co-founder of the HSS Total Ankle Replacement Registry to longitudinally study and improve patient outcomes after ankle replacement. As a member of the HSS Total Ankle Replacement Center, she combines research, cutting-edge technology, experience, and collaboration to achieve the best outcome for each patient with ankle arthritis.
