Assisted Knee Bending - Exercises After Right Total Knee Replacement

Purpose

  • Helps improve range of motion of your right knee

Starting position

  • Sit up tall on a chair or on the side of a bed or firm surface with your thighs supported and your foot resting on the floor

Action

  • Bend your right knee as far back as it will go
  • Use your left leg on top of your right leg to help your knee bend slightly more, to your tolerance
  • Return to the resting position
  • Hold for 3-5 seconds, and then return to the starting position

Tip

  • You may use a towel or paper towel under the right foot to help it slide
