Hospital for Special Surgery opens Westchester outpatient center

Westchester County Business Journal—October 18, 2017

Westchester County Business Journal covers the opening ceremony of HSS Westchester, the new 50,000 square foot outpatient facility in White Plains, NY.

During the press conference, Louis A. Shapiro, president and CEO of HSS, explained the need to expand to Westchester County.

"Over the course of time as we have continued to grow and develop and build our main campus, we've recognized that we need to make the caliber of care you get when you come to the city available to people closer to where they live and work," Mr. Shapiro said.

Andrew D. Pearle, MD, HSS sports medicine surgeon and new medical director of HSS Westchester, highlighted the importance of imaging services now being available at the new location and noted that people come from all over the world to get an MRI from HSS.

The article reported that HSS is the latest medical provider to expand facilities along the I-287 corridor.
