Rehabilitation

The Virginia F. and William R. Salomon Rehabilitation Department plays an integral role in patient care and research at Hospital for Special Surgery. Its skilled professionals provide quality rehabilitative care for patients of all ages pre-operatively, post-operatively, and/or for conservative management of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

The Department offers comprehensive services on-site at its main HSS campus, off-site at the Integrative Care Center (ICC), and through its HSS Rehabilitation Network.

The Inpatient Rehabilitation team provides expert care for patients with orthopedic and rheumatic disorders during their hospital stay.

Rehabilitation Network

The mission of the HSS Rehabilitation Network is to provide Hospital for Special Surgery patients who cannot utilize HSS for their outpatient rehabilitation, with the highest level of appropriate continuous care within their own community.
