WSMC Conditions and Treatments

Uniquely focused on active and athletic women.

For the most part, injuries are related to the demands of the sport, rather than the gender of the athlete. However, there are some injuries that are more common in women, such as stress fractures, injuries to the ACL (anterior cruciate ligament in the knee) and patellofemoral pain (knee pain).

At the HSS Women's Sports Medicine Center, our team believes in educating our patients about their conditions. We invite you to explore the animations and articles below that describe some issues commonly encountered by active and athletic women.
