Dr. Carlos Hernandez Torres is an Assistant Attending Physician in the Perioperative Pain Management Service at Hospital for Special Surgery. He is board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and Family Medicine. Dr. Hernandez Torres provides evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic pain conditions related to the perioperative period.
He is a graduate of the New York Medical College Pain/Palliative Medicine fellowship program and the Southern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program where he served as chief resident in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He carries several years of experience as an attending physician in primary care, hospital medicine, inpatient hospice as well as inpatient palliative medicine consultation services. He obtained his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Ciudad Juarez.
