Akansha Chowdhary, MD

Dr. Akansha Chowdhary is a hospitalist specializing in internal medicine at Hospital for Special Surgery.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Chowdhary graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Behavioral Neuroscience from Barnard College of Columbia University. She completed her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Chowdhary then pursued her residency training in internal medicine at New York University Langone Medical Center.

Throughout her training, Dr. Chowdhary has actively been involved in multiple research projects. Her interests encompass awide variety of cancer-related research as well as medical ethics. Her work has been presented at prestigious national meetings as well as in multiple medical journals.
