Orthopedics Today—March 24, 2017
In a recent video interview with Orthopedics Today, Steven B. Haas, MD, an orthopedic surgeon from Hospital for Special Surgery, comments on the effectiveness of KOOS Jr., an updated survey to measure the outcome of revision knee arthroplasty.
Dr. Haas explains, "The study was a retrospective review of our total joint replacement registry and patients who had completed the KOOS Jr. We used standard validation instruments that are used for validating outcome measures."
"The main result is that all of the validation tools of consistency and reproducibility, we found the instrument was valid and reproducible in measuring the outcome in a meaningful way after a revision joint replacement."
