Refinery29 reporter Cory Stieg writes on how to best add resistance bands to your workout routine.
Aaron Karp MS, ATC, CSCS, sports performance specialist at HSS, explains that using bands is not cheating and that you can still get in a great workout.
"Instead of just letting the weight drop and kind of hanging out at the bottom, keep a little bit of tension on a band," says Karp.
He notes that with weights, you always know exactly how much you are lifting. "With resistance bands, the tension is going to be different depending on how much you push and pull it."
