Redbook featured an article on the benefits of swimming and provided helpful tips. HSS primary care sports physician David A. Wang, MD advised to stay hydrated. "Start drinking water about two hours before a swim. Then keep water at the edge of the pool so you can take a sip every 15 minutes or so."
