In a recent segment, NBC Investigative Correspondent Jeff Rossen tests the accuracy of fitness trackers, including the Jawbone, Garmin, and Fitbit. Jeff visited Hospital for Special Surgery’s (HSS) Tisch Sports Performance Center where Polly de Mille, RN, MA, RCEP, CSCS, USAT, an exercise physiologist at HSS, measured calories burned using metabolic testing while NBC producers measured steps taken.
