The Philadelphia Business Journal featured John Englehart, vice president and chief marketing officer at HSS, in an article about the hospital’s recent billboard campaign in Philadelphia. The article stated that HSS has billboard advertisements along Interstate-95 to attract more patients from the Philadelphia area.
According to Englehart, HSS has cared for several thousand patients from Philadelphia during the past two years.
Englehart said that the billboard ads are part of a national campaign that, in Philadelphia, also includes limited cable television and radio advertising plus social media components that have included a recent Facebook live event featuring a patient from the city.
"The care we provide is almost all elective care," said Englehart. "The people who value what we do are the most discerning consumers. They are influenced primarily by word-of-mouth. They hear about us from people they trust: family members, friends and colleagues.…We are focused on subset of the market that prioritizes quality."
