New York Post featured HSS hand and upper extremity surgeon Michelle G. Carlson, MD, in an article about New York Yankees’ Didi Gregorius, who suffered a torn cartilage in his right wrist and received a cortisone injection.
Dr. Carlson, who did not treat Gregorius, explained that cortisone could help with the inflammation.
"The best-case scenario is it doesn’t bother [Gregorius] at all. But he could feel it when he rotates his hand or bends his wrist," Dr. Carlson noted.
