NY1 reported that members of the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team visited pediatric patients at HSS offering words of encouragement.

Patient Christopher Schrieks said meeting the veterans gave him a "boost of confidence" as he hopes to join the U.S. Army once he recovers from back surgery.

"There's no limit on what I can be. I can push through the struggles to be in the army like them," he said.
