Local New Jersey Athlete Honored

Pascack Hills senior Anthony Cortazzo was one of two grand-prize winners of the 2014 USA Football Heart of a Giant award presented by Hospital for Special Surgery and the Giants during Sunday's game. Cortazzo collapsed during track practice and was revived by trainers and teammates with a defibrillator in March, but returned to play football in the fall. He and Yonkers' Jeremiah Minyard each earned a $5,000 equipment grant for their schools and were recognized alongside their coaches.
