Moneyish featured HSS primary care sports medicine physician Jordan D. Metzl, MD, in an article about common workplace accessories that could negatively affect someone’s health.

In terms of shoes, Dr. Metzl explained that "the higher the heel and the bigger the drop, the bigger the problem."

"In general, if your shoes are hurting you, you shouldn’t be wearing them," he noted.
