My Fitness Pal featured HSS senior nutritionist Heidi Skolnik, MS, CDN, FACSM, in an article about the benefits of pre-workout supplements.
Skolnik explained that some pre-workout supplements include carbohydrates and could help with endurance.
"Potential benefits include a boost in performance, improved strength, speed, endurance and focus. It also lessens perceived exertion so you can work harder with less perceived effort," she noted.
