Mentoring at the Hand Therapy Center

Therapists at Hospital for Special Surgery participate in a newly posted blog to share their expertise.

As a sub-specialty of the HSS Rehabilitation Department, the Hand Therapy Center provides upper extremity rehabilitation services designed to ensure optimal restoration of function. Individualized evaluations and treatment programs are provided for a wide range of injuries and conditions related to the hand, wrist and elbow.

The multidisciplinary staff in the Hand Therapy Center includes occupational and physical therapists, including eight certified hand therapists (CHT). “We believe that this mix allows us to very effectively capitalize on the strengths of the two disciplines.”
