Make It Better featured HSS sports medicine surgeon Sabrina M. Strickland, MD in an article about how to prevent injuries during ski season.  

Dr. Strickland explained that the most common ski-related injuries are meniscal tears and knee ligament injuries such as ACL and MCL tears. To avoid these injuries, she advised to strengthen your quads and glutes, end your ski day when you feel tired, and get your bindings adjusted at the beginning of each season.
