Lichtenstein spoke with HSS physiatry and sports medicine physician, Peter J. Moley, MD, about the best safety tips for cycling. He recommended, "Pay attention to the other riders, runners, walkers and animals. Try to predict problems, slow down and alert riders behind you of your intentions. Stay out of lanes that are not designated for bikes. If somebody is slowing you down, just wait until there is an appropriate time to pass."
