Hospital Construction Booms Amid Shift to Outpatient Services

DNA Info writes that a new report projects that the healthcare industry will spend $6.3 billion in construction in 2016 and 2017 with 2 million square feet of hospital spare in the pipeline through 2020 in New York City.

They reference expansions by downtown hospitals including Hospital for Special Surgery who is creating new facilities.
