Hospital physicians score better on internal review sites than they do on Healthgrades, Vitals, and others

Healthcare Finance News highlighted a recent HSS study that found a discrepancy between doctor reviews provided by hospital websites and those posted on independent physician rating sites.

The research, presented at the 2018 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, found that provider-initiated surveys garnered more favorable ratings compared to commercial rating websites.

According to HSS investigators, feedback from patients can improve quality and provide valuable information to physicians.
