Poverty Could Make Lupus Even Worse

Health featured a study done by HSS rheumatologist Jane E. Salmon, MD, which focused on adverse pregnancy outcomes in women with lupus.

The study led by Dr. Salmon showed there were different outcomes in pregnancy by race. "At present, we must be vigilant in educating and monitoring pregnant patients at increased risk of complications," said Dr. Salmon.
