Everyday Health reporter Beth Orenstein reports on ways to manage symptoms of psoriatic arthritis as the cold weather moves in.
She speaks to Dee Dee Wu, MD, rheumatologist at HSS, who states that cold temperatures are known to trigger psoriatic arthritis flares.
"Hand washing has definitely proved beneficial in keeping people healthy," said Dr. Wu.
Dr. Wu also encourages people to eat healthy. "A diet that helps you maintain a healthy weight is important for everyone, but especially for those with arthritis," she added.
