Woman To Run In NYC Half-Marathon Thanks To ‘Hip Resurfacing’ Procedure

WCBS 880's Marla Diamond interviews Laura Paulus, who was a runner for 30 years before she was sidelined by severe hip pain.

Laura found out she was a candidate for hip resurfacing which preserves more bone than a traditional hip replacement and she came to see Edwin P. Su, MD, at HSS.

"I definitely am seeing more patients who are candidates for it, because of their activity level," said Dr. Su. "People are coming in young and younger."
